As you can see from this picture, the combustion chambers have of course evolved therefore my suggestion to change the combustion chamber

I actually took a break from the engine while my diffuser came in. Apparently my diffuser had arrived today. It has 10 wedges instead of 12 (comp has 12) they all have the recommended divergence angles and I tightened up clearance behind the compressor. Also I curved the channels at the end to help straighten flow. photos.app.goo.gl/eFAAEmeZmdfWmut88photos.app.goo.gl/XTTMWT3wsXqE6i9E6

It took me a few months to get back to this hunk of junk. I was able to achieve 3 psi with the new parts but still cannot get rid of the external combustion, or get it to sustain without dangerous temperatures.
I'm beyond frustrated, should I start closing basket holes? Like, is all the boost just going out the turbine?

I tried to run it on propane earlier too... Would not run without crazy overtemp and wouldn't sustain.

Try a fuel mix with 50/50 petrol/kero , plus oil ............the increased volatiles might help ...........they do with my engine :-)
3 psi P2 is still a fairly low power setting , is there any way you can increase your starter contribution until at least 5 or 7 psi is obtained .
Cheers John

I tried 50/50 petrol diesel it too failed.. I am starting on compressed air and full blast just can't get past 3psi no matter what.

Without being able to measure all the components its impossible to know if its just a combustion issue or there are fundamental design problems with flows, areas , throats etc etc .
Do you have any recent video of the engine running ??
Maybe get a tach operating so you can at least know its rpm .
