Hi Andy Haven't thought about the thrust potential, but with a potential 3.3 lbs/sec flow , it'd have to be close to 200 lbs Cheers John Going to be interesting.... what kind of bearing are you thinking...... will we see the injectors be tried again..... :-)

Hi Andy
With an axial wheel and the ability to use a longer shaft it opens up opportunities , but I won't be doing it , this is only a theoretical exercise to see if the second stage C20 wheel could be used for something , theres no more builds left in me , once the current engine is finished , thats it , I'm retiring .............but will still be here to help out :-)
Cheers John

Hi John
Am interested in the outcome. Will also like to see how you will handle an axial wheel. More things to be learnt from this. More info please.

Am happy to hear that. I would try that in me third build. A very short distance between turbine wheel and comp. wheel just enough to take two journal bearing and thrust bearing, A long shaft protruding at the front of the compressor wheel for planetary gear for driving ancillaries. And A reverse combustor.
And it will be a dream come through.
