Thanks John, Andre done a lot of work on the wiring yesterday as you will see in this vid we still have a problem with the igniters. Andre thinks I'll need to fit a 150W boost converter to the igniters. youtu.be/-yENlH09Bqc Cheers, Mark.

Hi Mark
Good to see her running .
You might need to slow down the fuel addition on spoolup , those temps are getting a bit high for too long ,...........is there a ramp up adjustment ??
LOL...............now what are you going to do with it now that its running ;-)
Cheers John

Hi John, Yeah we thought about that but will try with fully charge batteries, the temps were in the ~850c range on start up. Will do a start up today and film the EGT some pics of the turbine wheel from the first start and run we did on Sunday. Mmmm don't know what i will do with the engine will do a lot of display runs Do you think i could run the engine on heating oil Cheers, Mark.

It'll probably run on anything flammable...or...inflammable...I can never tell which one is correct!! Petrol, diesel, kero, parafin, turps, metho, heating oil, vegetable oil,....or a mixture of all together..! Cheers, Smithy

Wow that sounds great! I love the flaming startup but I wonder about the heat as well. Did I see the turbine wheel glowing orange?
Did you ever get it to idle down any?

Thanks, yeah the turbine wheel was glowing a bit The idle control is not working still need to tinker with the engine a bit more and study the manual as well seams like there is too much fuel going in the engine on start up that's why she flaming and turbine wheel glowing orange as you can see in this vid which i stuff up but you can see the temps get up to 970c not good youtu.be/-y6n3qHlXFc Cheers, Mark.

Does it work by itself or does another motor makes it run? what power source is used to make the turbine rotate and spin?

It has a electric starter to start the engine and two combustors where combustion takes place and makes the turbine rotate.
