HELLO all, AM Chuks from Nigeria, i finally have the guts to open a tread seeing the kind of professional you got here. i have been building tin can jet engine for a long time now but i have decided to build a solid one just like jato members.
the build will be a modification of my old engine that was built long time ago with poor knowledge of radial inflow turbine. ENGINE DETAILS:
COMPRESSOR Inducer diameter 91 exducer diamer 135 tips height 8
TURBINE inducer 94 exducer 112 tips height 16
HERE ARE SOME PICS OF THE ENGINE

the rebuild is going to start from the shaft tunnel, the original shaft tunnel is loaded with stainless ball bearing which fails continuously as i try to spool up the engine to a self sustaining rpm

according to the senior members here, a turbine blade exducer is meant to be 20pecent larger than the compressor blade inducer, but after seeing the FAT BOY i regained my courage to resurrect my engine without changing the whole engine diameter which will be more difficult than starting a new engine.

Hi Chuks
Thanks for starting the build thread ,.................. LOL, our "professional" looking engines have taken us many years of failures to get this far ..........our first attempts weren't all that pretty or successful, thats why the Group here always welcome new builders , it keep us in touch with our pasts.
Some fine looking bits you've made there :-)
Your comp inducer has a fairly large hub which will help with the ratio of engine inducer/exducer , a very mild clipping of the turb exducer would be all you need to produce sufficient flow out of the turb wheel if you run into problems , but for now it should be OK without a jetnozzle putting backpressure on the engine, once its running and you find there are issues with turbine stage restricting flow then do some mods .
Looking forward to your build
Cheers John
