Hi Mark
You'll be needing some reverse jaws , I've persevered without them for my lathe for 40 odd years , life would have been easier if I'd been able to source some .
Rest of the lathe is looking very nice after its refurbishment, all ready for some work in the new year :-)
Cheers John

Hi John, I still have the worn out chuck that i can use, or i can use the 4 jaw chuck just have to dial the part in. I was going through some other chucks that the seller had most of them had no reverse jaws and the ones that did were to big for the backing plate. Yeah just a few more little jobs to on the lathe and i can say this project is finish. I got my first quote for a three phase line to be installed will have a chat to you about that in the new year.
Cheers, Mark.

At last i got the three phase line installed today, three electrical contractors to do the job was a lot to do. Now got to wait for the truck appointment to hook up the three phase power witch may take two weeks i hope. Cheers, Mark.

Hi John, Yep there was a metal shapper on gumtree for $800 I use them at school one of my favorite machines. Plenty of work now so will be busy working and paying of the three phase line installation, but will make time to test out the lathe and start machining some parts that i need.
Cheers, Mark.

Hi John, Yep only took them about 7 weeks and when the truck arrive took them about 1 1/2 hours and i had three phase power. I got to get use to the carriage handwheel being on the left side, would of been nice if it was on the right and i can not get the power cross feed to work, when i engage the cross feed lever no power feed.
Cheers , Mark.

I work out how the power cross feed works, there is a bottom lever that need to be engage on the apron. Made a video of the lathe running and first metal chips are made out of some stainless steel stock. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LZs64EgauI
