Hi John,
Yes,,,,lol. The Schreckling design spins counterclockwise,,,I presume to allow right hand threads to secure the compressor and turbine.

Hi All, I had the diffusor blades welded and am turning it down in blade height and diameter to fit the sleeve. I also have been truing up the chrome moly tube .750" O.D. X .82" wall thickness), I'll use for the shaft. Just for laughs I placed a large aluminum spinner from one of my gas R/C airplanes to sort of make it look like a mini Williams F-107 engine,,,lol. Hi All, Using a ball end mill I remove as much of the blades on the backside as I can, to reduce weight. Regards Jeff

Hi All, I thinned the blades on the turbine even further. The blade radius is 22mm checking it with a 44mm washer. The blade profiles match A-A, B-B and C-C, if you happen to have the Schreckling book (page 73). Regards and Happy 2017 Jeff

Hi All, I just had the NGV blades TIG welded to the inner ring. I don't think this build will take 9 months like Heineken 1 did. Trying to get it done ASAP. Regards Jeff

Hi All, I cut 8 small slots in the shaft tunnel ring, in an attempt to get more cooling air to the turbine. The Schreckling plans show cooling air mixing in this area, but after studying the plans, I'm not sure how he did this. Heineken 1 has 4 small holes in this area, but not enough IMO. Regards Jeff

Hi All, I'm marking the positions of the outer shroud slots and will use a hacksaw to cut them out. Regards Jeff

Thanks Anders, I made a jig to try to hold the outer shroud concentric to the shaft tunnel hole (during welding), something I didn't do when making my previous NGV's. I also found a way to balance a Schreckling turbine wheel, I'll make another short video in a bit. Regards Jeff

Hi Jeff, it's Chris from youtube.bit late but when you make the Kamps NGV make the inner part with blades a tight sliding fit in the outer tube otherwise it moves around altering the centring, when you look at the kj66 it's fully welded or cast solid.
