Hi all,
I hope you can help with a problem I’m having with my Jetcat P80 SE. After a couple of months not running my turbine I decided to give it a test run and found that it wouldn’t start with the propane. When I electrically start the turbine, the GSU displays cooling on the screen. I don't know where this problem comes from.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Bruno

Thanks Bruno This may be a Radio calibration issue...is the throttle trim set to high before you initiate a start..?? You may have to re-calibrate the radio to the ECU. Also...if the thermocouple is not reading correctly before you start, it can go straight to cooling. Can you tell us what the temp reading is before start?? Cheers, Smithy.

Hi , Thanks for your responding quickly. I changed the battery because my thermocouple indicated 7 °C indoors, once the battery changed it now indicates 21 ° C which is a more logical temperature. The throttle trim and the electrovanne gaz works well. With the electric starter I can't exceed the 8000 rpm. Can you tell me how can I re-calibrate the radio to the ECU please?
Cordially Bruno

Cordially Bruno Hi Bruno, The 8000rpm will be fine for light-off, (my Kingtech K180G only reaches ~5000rpm)....once the ECU sees the egt rise the rpm will rise as the main fuel is introduced. Do you have the operation manual for the engine?? It will depend on how old the engine is as to the correct calibration procedure. The P80SE uses two different ECU's, one is the Jetronic V10 and the earlier Jetronic V-II. However, the radio calibration procedure should be similar for both. Try this for the earlier version: www.jetcat.de/downloads/manualp60p200eng.pdfThe radio "Learn" procedure starts on page 19. And this for the later version: www.jetcat.de/downloads/rx--engines_manual_eng.pdfThe radio "Learn" procedure for this version also starts on page 19. Cheers, Smithy.
