Hi Feathers
The TV94 rotor is the same as Anders engines rotor , its a good size and the theory says it should produce ~150 horsepower at the freepower , maybe a bit more on a cold day .
My mate Andrew who is constructing the bike I made the engine/trans for is getting very close to firing it up , .................hopefully next year some time , ........there's been some installation complications caused by the restricted space in the sports bike chassis , its not ideal as its a bit short by just a couple of inches in the wheelbase .
It uses a combination of a scroll and vanes to direct the gases into the freepower , its a bit of a mongrel setup , dictated by the installation , it worked in my first turbine bike so I was confident to use it again , ............ideally the gas producer should be feeding into a NGV stator , but it wasn't possible to fit the extra bits in the space available .
You might find that with more modest pressures available to the JFS freepower compared to the JFS gas producer , you may not be reaching 60,000 rpm , so maybe only ~2,500 rpm out of the JFS redux .
80 hp will get most small vehicles going at well in excess of 120mph with the help of a bit of streamlining ., so maybe still an ~ 1:1 ratio to start with .
Cheers John

Hi Feathers
Just looking at your evap tubes ........................are the 3 "branches" coming off a similar sized "trunk" ??
Cheers John

Hey John, The "trunk" of the evap system is 1.5" diameter, and the 3 "branches" are 3/4" diameter. The stator is also an attractive element of the jfs-100 turbine setup, so I don't have to fabricate my own.
So either the JFS section, or a giant turbine wheel in a giant scroll.
We'll see which is cheapest.

Hi Feathers
The trunk should be OK at that size , but is the spray nozzle blocking the airflow ??
Cheers John

Just like the hub in the middle of the compressor wheel has such little effect on the inducer area, that its not even usually considered, the nozzle represents such a small portion of the cross-sectional area that I didn't worry about it. Its hardly inside the tube either, just about flush with the outside of the base "can".

Hi I see you want to use a JFS free power unit, i wanted to do the same set up but it fell though. But i can help you out on the parts that you will need to hook up the JFS. I had contact with a guy in the states he set his up with a turbojet, he was kind enough to send me cad drawings for the cone and flange plate these are the parts you will need for a JFS hook up. Cheers, Mark Attachments:

Mark, This information is priceless! Do you have contact information for him? Are these pictures of your turbine, or of his? Because if these are your parts and the project fell through, I'd pay top dollar for them! I'll PM you, and see about those cad drawings Thanks for sharing!! Feathers

Mark, Thanks for the info! I'll definately be using those files if I can find a JFS-100 unit. I was given the number of Paul Stender by a gentleman at Avon Aero, and was told that he was in posession of several JFS-100s. I called him up, and he said that he may have a unit with a small dent (allegedly in a noncritical area) that he would let go of for less than "retail" . However I have since tried sending him my email using his website's "contact us" form twice, but haven't heard back . The only similar unit online is a power turbine unit for a large-ish boeing engine with a rotor diameter of 12", its bigger than I would benefit from. It is on ebay for $600. If anyone has any idea where I could find a part like this, I need help!!! Thrust /could/ be fun, but 70HP and over a hundred pounds of torque seem like way more fun. Meanwhile, I'll be searching. Thanks, Feathers
