Hi every one..... so the little rub on the turbine wheel has been sorted. Oil system tested with hot oil 90 degrees C , oil relief closed by simulating 40 psi boost and getting 70 psi oil pressure. I have dialled the motor back a little, that drives the oil pump so i do have room for adding more. So now i have to sort some kind of stand outside and move forward with lite off tests All The Best Andy

Thanks Andy "Father and child both doing well " ;-) Cheers John Thanks John..... been looking at P2 gauge over fuel pressure on the right hand top gauge ? I think it was running a little on it own.... but next test will let us know Thanks Again John..... and to all here thank you for support, comments etc All The Best Andy

Hi Andy
LOL..................I thought you were only going to test for ignition and see if combustion was possible using just injectors and no evaporation devices ..................cheaky bugger ;-)
Running her up to a 2.75 PR with only a 450 C exhaust is "cool" , 3 seconds from initiation of the air impingement until fuel added , then only 4 seconds to accelerate to a 2.75 PR ( impressive), then 5 seconds of "pure joy" and all over in 12 seconds ...............pretty amazing :-)
Heh heh , maybe a tad less fuel next time so as not to "cook" your offsider .
Cheers John

Cheers John Yes.... that was the plan..... but my brain stopped working in my head at least it seemed it was running for an age. Think the start up will improve... may of been a little slower in lighting, as the lines and filter had been emptied when I remove the engine to sort the rub on the turbine wheel ? Next time the Joy will run for longer, but think for sake of good living.... a move of test location mite be in order for high power settings Thanks to every one for your comments... I know i keep saying this John.... but thanks for all your help, really you knew for a long time i wanted to build an engine like this, and you helped me do it.. Thank You All The Best

Hi Andy
The engine is a real credit to you , I only supplied some numbers , you did the hard slog of putting things into metal , its a beautifully crafted engine that wil hopefully provide you with years of enjoyment .
For a first spoolup you couldn't ask for a better outcome .....................LOL, I bet you slept a little better last night compared to the one before ;-)
Yep , a more appropriate venue next time as the noise level will only be increasing ...................can't wait for the development to proceed .
Cheers John

Congratulation on the first fire Andy!
Cant wait to see it opened up to full after burn at a high pressure ratio.
