Hello All,
I have watched the likes of Colin Furze and others and really want to build a turbojet from a car turbo to begin with. I have CNC Plasma, CNC Mill although only 3 axis, lathe 3D printer etc as part of my business.
Stainless steel is my specialism so making combustion tubes etc should be no issue.
However building something isn’t designing it hence being here and hoping to learn from you all while contributing.
I was going to buy a cheap GT45 eBay special turbo to start with but am looking for information on how to size combustion chamber, position air intake to combustion chamber etc.
I would like to build one with enough go to push my ride in mower project along (no cutting deck so nice and light) for a bit of a gimmick.
This will also be used to bring more attention to my engineering company locally hopefully at shows in summer etc.
Any pointers on books, websites and where to stay away from would be much appreciated.
Happy new year all.

Hi Colin Welcome to the Group :-) Have a look through here jetandturbineowners.proboards.com/thread/680/diy-turbines to get some basic info first ................and stay away from Mr Furze and his recommendations. Have a look through the various builds in the DIY Section for ideas , plenty to read in there Cheers John

I will take a look through info and see which is best way for me to get started. Cheers, Colin
