Richard,
I'll have a look (sieg c3 parts?) but since it's only a little thing I'll try to be gentle so those plastic gears should last and as for the bearings if it is an easy job then I'll do it but for now the current ball ones feel great.
Thanks

Started making a M16x1.5 to 11/16-24 unef adapter on the lathe, first time cutting a thread so not the best but it works Will do the 11/16-24 side tomorrow. It started off as one of these threaded rods which might be high tensile steel (would explain why its a bitch to cut lol)

Hi Ben
Good to see you bending metal :-)
With the UK coming out of lockdown its time to get going on your build .
An interesting way of getting from round to rectangular scroll inlet, are you going to add a snout for an expansion slipjoint ??
Cheers John

Cheers John Hi John, Yup that's why I've got this little piece, will make the slipjoint and is easier to get the tight radius the corner needs to be with a thin strip.

I had dramas with my standard ignition lead too. Wouldn’t carry spark well. Apparently a lot of small engines, old chainsaws etc use copper core ignition leads. I got a meter of it yesterday from my local stihl shop. Your transition piece turned out great!

Thanks Aus, seems ht leads are designed to be around 5/6000 ohm per metre so the spark lasts a slightly longer duration (on the order of milliseconds but supposedly helps) however the massive resistance seemed to basically overheat the hv module since it couldn't push through. At least I know now so will just use some single core and tape up the ends to get it to 8mm dia for the gland to grip.
Just need to roll the f/t body now and found a company nearby that will give it a go as I'm not trying my ratchet straps around a pipe method lol
