Hi, newbie here.
I'm interested in making a model turbine engine, however as a newbie this is proving difficult. Especially in the information gathering phase. I can find bits and bobs of information here and there, but among the broken links and missing documents, I'm not really getting anywhere.
I'm an EE student, so I would be interested in making the FADEC myself, maybe even moreso than the actual engine, as the electronic design can count toward my studies.
What I want is not too dis-similar to say, a KJ66. But I am unsure if this is the right way to start, or the easiest. Ideally I would use parts that are readily available, like the compressor and turbine(?) wheels of a turbocharger. However I have no interest in a totally turbocharger based engine, I want to have an engine that is recognizably a turbojet. Not only for the aesthetic, but the packaging.
Any guidance or words of wisdom is appreciated
I'm not sure if I posted this in the correct subforum?
