I forgot to ask. What a are you guys using to monitor scroll temps at the turbine?

Just go to Ebay and look for a K type thermometer , you'll need the sheathed pickups , not the bare wire ones most come with , they're OK for measuring comp discharge temps though

Hi John.
I got the thermo coupler on order.
I did another test run last night. I was able to get the turbine cooled down after 5 psi easily. No glow at all until 10 psi. I know my oil pressure dropped so I will get a valve and gauge for that today, and some new earplugs lol. Today I will be reading the information thread and making a 9 inch nozzle with a slight sloping constriction at the end.

Yep , gotta have an oil pressure gauge .
Probably a jet nozzle ~55mm dia

I'm not sure how to install the oil pressure gauge without restricting oil flow to the bearings. It's a gauge and pressure tube, with a NPT fitting.
So far the 8.5 inch nozzle I made works great. I cooked a sausage in about 15 seconds with it. Lol

You'll need to fit a Tee piece into your lube line
