Thanks
I wanted to make the fuel tank to learn the extra skills. Next is TIG welding Alloy. I have done some in the past and want to up my game. I learn quick. First time using a brake press, I watched the fab shop make some alloy water tanks for the new Kenworth trucks my boss bought.
I love the process of learning and researching.

That is the best part about this hobby, starting a project where you have to learn tons of things to be able to finish it.
I would probably never have gotten into sand casting if it weren´t for the JU-02 engine build.

Looking good,
Do you plan on having a video camera pointing at the pannel, a lot of information for you to take in.... at least with a video, you can sit after and check everything

Agree with Andy, video is the best logger. During a run it is difficult just to keep an eye on the oil pressure gauge.

My second practice session TIG welding alloy. I have ordered a foot pedal so I don't have to stop half way through from the work piece heating up.I will be able to back off the amps with the pedal. Hopefully weld the fuel tank this weekend if it arrives.

She's alive ⚡⚡⚡ got 12 and 24 volt powering dash panel and all circuit breakers wired up. Love the little load sensor read out in the video. Unfortunately my TIG pedal didn't show up this week but still had things to do before I weld up the fuel tank. youtube.com/shorts/YL__fPbds-Q?si=iCQcYOOnJu0r4jXh

The blue wire is messing with my OCD but it was the only wire I had from work.

I'm about 2/3 the way through welding up my Alloy fuel tank. Hopefully get it finished tomorrow then off to hydro static test for leaks. I'm enjoying learning how to TIG Alloy
