You can make a 12 vdc start circuit by using power from 1 battery to your push button switch to the small terminal on the relay.
Everything else can be 24 vdc just isolate the start button.

I have one of those lathes for sale..99% condition. 230 volt with ALL attachments. Steady rest, face plate , 3 jaw, 4 jaw....etc...
I downsized my buisness after purchasing this unit and it does not have 2 hours on system and MOST of the accessories are still in the wrappers.

You can use the 12 v solenoid if you're using two 12 volt batteries, just run the power wire through a starter button and then to the + teminal of the battery that's connected to ground. i have a 24 volt system on my van but it uses 12 volts to fire the solenoid as 12 volts was available in the cabin.
Like ernie said, don't let the starter engage at partial rpm. Watch your EGT. If you have no power turbine put a mirror where you can see in the turbine. Watch your egt! Don't run it w the power turbine unloaded if you have one.

This is the third time I posted this. I get busy and don't get back To things and forget. I have collected lots of "stuff" for my JFS but Have never started trying to wait till I can devote full time. I don't Want to toast this little beauty. It's rare to find one like this with All it's docs and associated parts and records from day one. It was Pulled in 92 for fuel in gearbox, overhauled and stuck in storage. It Even has the checklist and letter of completion of overhaul. Came from Iowa national guard.
