Thanks for the praise Andrew! The fairings are from a 125cc racer and can be bough at www.sp125racing.com/, they are perfect for this build since they just clear the engine on the sides. The front footprint is very small compared to my hayabusa, and the gas turbine engine should not be very far behind in power so it should be capable of some serious speed. I thought you said the Stig was prepared to drive it? ;D I have my youthful resources to draw upon, but where John is getting his energy is a true mystery.

Today I fitted the spark plug to the engine cover, it was placed at the bottom of the engine because the propane injectors are there and the plug will be least in the way for other things that way. I followed John advice and let the electrode leave a mark in the flame tube where I then could drill a hole, very clever trick. I would have been finished now if it weren´t for the fact that the spark plug hits the test bench when I tried to fit the engine to it, so I had to make a hole in the bench. Here is the plug, not the easiest picture to take. Cheers!

Hi Anders
LOL........I had the same problem with the 10/98 , had to cut the plug down to size , heh heh heh , nice to see another builder being as "forgetful " ;-)
Cheers John

I´ll try not to get fryed. The underside is the best place to put the plug, on the sides the fairings sit close to the engine and above it is the rest of the "crow nest" of cabling and pumps. Good thing that most things can be modified.

I took the engine apart today to clean out the shaft tunnel and lube lines so I could assemble the bearings "for good" or at least for the first test run. I am not exactly the tidiest person in the workshop, but that´s the way I like it. Less time cleaning up means more time constructing. Hopefully I will have room for a bit more shelves and tool stands in the new workshop, I am stacking my tools in pyramid shapes right now... Here is the compressor wheel in its rightful place, the front end just doesen´t look as good without it. A pic of the engine from the side. Cheers!

GREAT WORK.. I have plenty of warehouse shelving you can HAVE! Must be 5 tons or more . My tools are still stacked on the table or floor. I found out later in life "Once a tool hits the floor it cannot go any further an you only have to get on your knees once a day ( or use a magnet on a sticK). Also the CONCRET magnet NEVER turns off? Damn it, just droped something off of the desk.. F*&K IT ernie
