What a beauty !, I love the crowd's reaction in the first clip, they all took a step back when it lit off. Priceless Steve.

Yeah, it really shakes the internal organs... You can hear from the pitch of the engine that it runs harder than before, the pulses have a cracking sound to them that weren´t there earlier. I´d be surprised if they dare to run her flat out the entire track. Cheers! /Anders

I have decided to skip the alternator since it takes too much space in the frame, I need to lenghten the frame several decimeters and it is long enough as it is. I will start working on the frame now and hopefully I will have it standing on its wheels in time for Speed Weekend 20 days from now, I am planning to take it with me to show what I am planning to run next year. Cheers! /Anders

Maybe I missed it somewhere.. Have you tested the engine with the free turbine in place? If so, how was the heat with the free turbine stalled? I would imagine with its larger surface area, it would allow more air to pass, therefore reducing heat buildup?

No testing done of the engine with the freepower in place, that will have to wait until the bike is finished. Last night I started building the frame, this shouldn´t take overly long if I only keep the pace up and settle for 5 hours of sleep each night. No use trying to get anything done before the kids are asleep so a workshop pass often ends around midnight. Cheers! /Anders

You wait until your kids are asleep to start making noise?

Thanks, I hope it will look somewhat like a motorcycle in the end. Luckily my workshop is in a separate building (and my kids are used to noice and music while they sleep) so if I manage to wake them up I must be producing noice on an atom bomb scale...

yeah, hell w alternator, just put a lipo pack in there. The higher C rated packs take a lot of abuse. What do you have to run from the electrical? a few pumps?

One large gear pump for oil pressure, two oil scavange pumps and a PWM controlled Bosch fuel pump. Plus some minor stuff that don´t draw much current.

Yup it is starting to look like a bike now, if I had focused 100% on this build it would probably have been running by now but a man needs a daily driver as well. I´ve spent some time this winter bobbing a Triumph -67 and have only some minor bits and pieces left to sort out before it is finished, a rat bike look with a bolt on hard tail, new ignition system, carb, wiring etc etc etc........ It is low, stiff and absolutely wonderful! Cheers! /Anders
