Hi Hurdman
The 4th stage wheel is about the only one thats of a suitable flow size and relatively available , the 4th stage wheel is often timed out without any structural defects unlike some of the earlier stage wheels .
If you can find an accommodating Allison overhaul facility you may be able to get a wheel for free if you explain what you're making and are able to convince them you aren't going to give them liability issues, most overhaul shops are a bit wary about giving out scrap wheels or scrap anything for that matter, due to the possibility they may get back into the "airworthy" stream, you may need to get them to "destroy" the wheel by cutting off the "raised" curvic coupling on the exhaust side of the wheel , whilst leaving the other curvic for your own securing device .
Otherwise keep a lookout on Ebay , wheels do come up from time to time , or make an offer on the one advertised , but I wouldn't be offering any more than half what they're asking
Cheers John
