Got some free time and worked on the engine a bit. Made new free power mounting brackets, and put a thicker flange on the gas producer to free power coupler. Everything is mounted and secured in position with the new orientation of the combustion chamber now. I also ordered a hago 9.5 GPH misting nozzle for kerosene burning, previous injector was 4.5 GPH and could only handle about 10psi compressor outlet. I noticed that the st50 doesn't sound great when spinning the compressor, sounds gritty or almost like the turbine or compressor are touching the housing. Assuming this is due to bad bearings (the st50 was totally seized when I bought it). Can anyone recommend a rebuild kit or bearing kit for it?   |
