Wow John! Finally some real progress after all the R&D you´ve done. I am so happy for you, you´ve been banging your head against the temp spike issue for so long that you deserved some good news! I would really have liked to be there and hear it in first person, it is difficult to get a feeling of how it runs from the video. The temp difference is strange since it has switched sides, a sensor problem would perhaps not cause a reading like this. Have you checked the syringes for damage at the tips? Today I found one of the JU-02 syringe tips broken off (I think we have similar designs with a bent tip for wall spray) so has been injecting fuel straight down the evaporator tube for who knows how long. Cheers and congratulations John! /Anders

Hi Anders
Yep , its been a long journey , but a bit of an education as well .
I'm seriously thinking about making another fuel manifold with much larger bore injectors to reduce fuel pressure as my pump supply pressure is at >70 psi , and also to reduce the injection "velocity" to enable flowing the fuel onto the tube wall rather than having a high speed with possible "splashing" and fuel being carried through the tube.
I might get the fuel manifold out and do a water flow test to check whats happening , there coud be a either a hot streak or a cold streak happening , hopefully its a hotstreak I'm measuring and the turb is only experiencing the lower temp.
Cheers John

Congratulations John! Very fun to see and hear the engine run What fuel you use this time, the fast burning petrol/kerosine mix (jp3)or was it pure kero? Cheers Stephan

Hi Stehan
Fuel was 2 parts petrol to one part kero , it seems to work OK , and its less expensive than straight kero :-)
Cheers John

John, is your petrol the same as gasoline?
Thanks, Ron

Hi Ron
Yep, I use ordinary lead free petrol same as in our car , ~$AU1.40 per liter compared to $AU2 per liter for kero, and its available locally rather than a 20 minute drive away for kero :-)
Cheers John

LOL..........if all goes to plan then shaft power might be an option rather than a thrust engine , the G Trim wheel with its "standard" exducer should produce less "exhaust velocity" from the wheel making it more suitable to feed into a freepower, I need a few more test runs to find out .
Cheers John

Cheers John Hope it all goes well.thease days boats are one of the only craft left that you can still go a little wild I've seen a few air research turbines for sale lately from generators not sure what power they make but worth a look for our projects.
