then the turbo journal bearing fitted. all looked good, thanks to johannson for his clean guide on how to get use to turbo kits.

ooooooops!!! the unknown has happened, after parting of the shaft tunnel i discovered lots and lots of blow holes.

a 170mm diameter rolled aluminium was donated by some curious workers in the factory were i am doing the machining work.

hi John, please what diameter of hole do I need to drill for the oil supply line to the the journal bearing and the trust bearing? thanks.

Hi Chuks
A 4 mm dia hole to each bearing should be more than sufficient , try a 3 mm to start with and if it looks OK leave it at that .................I've looked through my drawings etc and can't find what I've drilled mine at , its probably been a case of drilling the angled holes with a small pilot drill of ~1.5mm dia , then opening the hole up with progressively larger drills until it looks "right".
