Hi Gents

just a quickie, is the above turbo a viable donor for a turbocharger turbine bearing in mind it's a variable vane variety ? It's not the pivoting vane variety but the sliding axialy variety. Is it simply a case of securing the  variable vane system fully open ? Or is it a waste of time ?

Hi Mondo

It should be OK , set the vanes at mid position to start with then you can fine tune the position once the engine is operational .
