azwood, Whittle had the same problem on his gas turbine engine. His was one of the first successful gas turbines. History repeats itself over and over.
Thanks, Ron

azwood, yes they were very frightened. After they cleaned out their pants they had a successful test the next day. Our gas turbines almost died that day.
Thanks, Ron

I’ve bought an 1/8” needle valve with the idea of having a small amount of gravity assisted drain when not running then constant p2 bleed when running back to the fuel tank. Was trying to eliminate the possibility of one day forgetting to manually drain it 😳

I also found a servo about 10 mins drive from my place that sells kero from the bowser. So naturally filled all my jerry cans up. They even fill your car up for you whilst you wait. The oldschool service is still out there 👌🏻

Probably better to run the drain to a catch tank rather than your fuel tank .
Kero on the bowser , now thats luxury , you must be out in the country :-)

What happens is it will start then run for a bit then the fuel heat's up and off it goes and there's nothing you can do but watch the poor thing screen.thats not something I'd want to happen with a shaft powered kart who knows if the breaks will hold it back lucky it was just on straight thrust at the time but it did try pushing my land rover buggy it was up against lol

Hey mate, progress is slow, concentrating on rust repairing dads trailer at the moment 🤦🏻♂️ I’ve mounted the oil cooler, finished fabrication of the fuel tank and started cutting out the ali for the oil tank. I’ll post a few pics soon 👍🏻
