Hi Mad
Yeh , theres always some unforeseen problems , axial cranks/shafts have always been a problem in bikes, and the Viper has a big "crank" , lotsa gyroscopic procession , I'm not too sure how the T63 will react when you feed on the power , it'll probably want to lean over a bit as it tries to spin around the stationary bevel .
lotsa unknowns , thats what keeps us interested :-)
Cheers John

I have a 201c in the S-10 pickup... The twist is no very noticable but the J-34 on the Hearse will twist the car (6000 pounds) approx 6 inches to each side as I do the fireshow.
I is going to be tough holding all of that torque on 2 wheels and 2 legs, it wants to rotate you and the bike, instead of being nice...
I am not sure if you could come up with a counter torque assembly without being heavy and dangerous. How about a dual output shaft driving the rear tire? Should stop the over torque when in gear...but still a problem on start up and reving engine..

i dont think torqe twist will be a proplem with t 63 it is a small eng , the proplem with the viper is only when you change revs , under constant power you can hold it with a finger , but this is a big eng for a bike , i first only built it to piss ANDRA off when i got banned from most drag strips in australia , i was doing 1/4 mile burnouts on fire on my chevy V8 bikes , crowds loved it www.madv8bike.com/ any how wont be back on this site much for next couple months off travelling doing some shows with the jet truck mad

The bevel gear, do you have a pic or two of that one? I am in search of a 90° 1:1 bevel gear for my bike so I am very interested in knowing how you did it.
