Hello.
The compressor in this jet engine build is surging badly throughout it's operation with some extreme surging at 5:21 and 5:24 in this video-
You can see the boost gauge jumping a lot too.

Yep , not a healthy engine , ........but a beautiful build :-)
Guess he should have had a look at this Site before construction ;-)

It really sounds like it is having some hard time. But I think if he changes that turbo for one with a bigger turbine housing, it will work nicely based on what I have been seeing around.
Surging at this case, means it is too fast or barely keeping itself working?

Possibly too much restriction in the exhaust, the turbine can only swallow so much air and is possibly a bit small/tight for the compressor....she was running a tad warm judging by the glow of the turbine inlet....if he runs it without the tail pipe, it may fare a bit better....there's a lot of losses down the length of that pipe methinks.
