Hi everyone I'm new to this group, I've been tinkering around for a few years and I've had my jet engine up and running good on LPG and now I want to convert it to diesel. I'm after some suggestion on fuel nossels to use or fabricate.

Hi thanks racket I had a read and the info is good and it will help me in other areas but it didn't really answer my question. So I'm currently got an old brass weed sprayer nozzle, a cordless drill driving a cat c15 fuel pump and I'm using about 1L a minute @ full pump rpm and compressor pressure is at about 250kpa and the fuel I'm using is a 50/50 mix of diesel and fuel from accidental fill ups at the fuel pump. It works well and then I tried just diesel but couldn't get it to fire on a cold start and the only thing I can think of is that it's not atomizing enough to ignite. I can get a pump that will go up to about 2000psi and fuel lines to handle the pressure but I'm still stuck on what sort of nozzle that's available or is there something that can be made. Cheers

Just go buy a Hago oil burner nozzle. They are made out of stainless steel and atomize well once you get above 60 psi or so...even better when you get up to 200 psi. They come in all kinds of variations and for the money, you are getting some really great atomizing technology. Ideally you want a hollow cone with a spray angle over 90 degrees, but that may be a bit variable depending on you combustor design. Monarch has a few SS and steel nozzles also. Patriot Supply has a very large selection. patriot-supply.com/products/manufacturer_detail.cfm?manu_id=58Good luck, Chris
