I'm planning on trying to use E-85 (85% Ethanol 15% Gasoline) + 5% turbine oil for my Kamps type turbine. I understand it doesn't have the nearly as good a Hou as diesel or kerosene, but I'm wondering if the EGT would be lower. E-85 is plentiful where I live (2.00 a gallon vs 4.50 for kerosene). Do the number/diameter of the fuel sticks have to be changed? I'm planning on using 8 at .312" diameter.

I'd be using diesel in preference to E85....diesel is easy to get and will give similar results to Kerosene. You can reduce the turbine oil content down to ~3-1/2% with diesel. Difference in EGT will be negligible and only ~20-30C As long as your needles are resting on or pointing at the vaporizer tubes you should be fine.
Cheers, Smithy.
