Hi John,
No, updates to the Scrhechkling design have either U shaped vaporizer tubes (which I used) or hockey stick shaped tubes from the rear. I didn't use the fuel coil inside.
Yeah, I agree Schreckling had most of the hole on the inner side of the burner can, I suspect he had help on the combustions chamber. Thanks and Regards

Hi Jeff,
The new compressor wheel looks good. I'm looking forward to seeing it up and running again.

Hi Adam,
Thanks. Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing it run too. I've got to pick up some 1" Delrin for the front cover plate. I have some 1/2", but it's not thick enough.
Regards
Jeff

Hi All, I've just about completed the new front cover. I have to fiddle with it to get the compressor clearance a bit tighter. I also have to machine a groove to fit the intake trumpet. The bad,,,it seems way out of balance. With the up coming Thanksgiving holiday, I hope to get her back up and running. Jeff

Hi Jeff,
I still need to make the inner parts of the ngv, the combustion chamber, and the fuel ring, ohh and another shaft. Still a lot to do but its quite satisfying to see the front end coming together. I'm just in the process of drilling and taping (M2 thread) the 15 diffuser vanes to attach it to the front cover. I'll put up a pic when I get back home tomorrow.
cheers Adam

Hi All,
The Heineken turbine is ready to run again. I guess my wife could use it to cook the Thanksgiving turkey in about 2 minutes,,,lol.

Hi All, I'm thinking of adding a FOD screen to my engine. Makes it look a little like R2D2,,,lol. Regards Jeff

Hi Anders,
Thanks.
Hi Adam,
No. My Kamps engine is still on the test stand. Maybe this weekend, I'll put her on the stand.

Hi All, Not having much luck with my Kamps build. My Schreckling engine seems way more promising. The engine did make a paltry 2.6 pounds of thrust during this very short run. I'm not sure why she's running so hot, I took great pains making sure the blade clearances (both the turbocharger and turbine) was as small as possible. youtu.be/usSS77cEFTIRegards Jeff
