Hi, Luke
Starter clutch is machined myself. Unfortunately i don't have any pictures of the build. It's basically same type that used on rc model turbines.

Hi, Andy Very nice starter mechanism you got there. Your desing is very similar to mine. I also made a slots to the end of clutch vanes. It helps clutch to stay disengaged when suction tries to pull it towards the compressor nut while running. I use this setup: fi.eurorc.com/product/14053/hobbywing-xerun-xr8-plus-combo---2250kvServotester does the job of operating starter motor in my bike. Do you use brake mode in your esc? I use 20% of brake force to help when disengaging starter. Cheers. Arto

Hi all! I just wanted to share a latest video from my finished bike. Last months has been spent of making ecu/fadec to the bike. Now it runs completely with arduino. Oil pump, throttle, starting procedure, gauges are all controlled by three arduinos I got the bike to the episode of finnish YouTube series: youtu.be/OrvjmCBjlnQThere Will be english subtitles to the video soon. Cheers. Arto

Hi Arto
Thanks for sharing the video :-)
A very nice build , most of us can understand without the subtitles , we all speak the same turbine "language"
What was the power output on the dyno??
Cheers John

Thanks!
Yes the video was made by professionals.
In dyno session we got maximum horsepower ~40hp with 3bar combustor case pressure and 700c turbine egt.
I think that is typical power for 67mm inducer compressor.
The torque was max 221nm at the wheel In lowest possible freeturbine rpm.
Cheers. Arto

Hi. Yes that power gives pretty nice ride There is no gearbox. Only karting chain and sprockets with 11:1 gear ratio. My future plan is to make gearbox and clutch to help launches from stand still. Cheers. Arto
