So in the process of making my GT I killed my trusty 395 Type 5 Dremel tool (rotary tool)
It was over 10 years old.
I called up Dremel to find out if there were any replacement parts to be had and discovered that they offer an out-of-warranty repair service. Maximum price of the repair = 32USD for my model.
Best part: mine was beyond repair, so now I have a brand new (supposed to be refurbished but I can't find the refurb tag anywhere...) model 300... for the grand total of 32USD plus 4USD shipping.
And it has the full factory warranty...
So don't feel bad about the 100+USD price tag these things have, they last. And when they break, Dremel hooks ya up!
No I am not a Dremel spokesperson, just an astonished customer...

I have used dremels since forever. I have used them for carpentry, tile work, electrical (though I wouldn't reccomend it), PC repair, and ametuer dentistry.
