Got myself a much nicer wastgate valve think it's the same as yours jhon but this one is open then shuts with 1 Barr of pressure hopefully that pressure is a nice strong take off I'll add a 12v bleed valve with a button on the steering wheel for emergencys

Yep, that looks the same , but I think they mean 1 bar of atmospheric pressure will close it if theres a vacuum on the other side, thats how mine worked :-( ....hence the "throttle" cable to close it

I'll check with my compressor Just checked it snaps shut right on 10psi a bit less than a Barr but she works.i was thinking with a bleed button on the steering wheel I'll have lunch control hell yeah that will be fun.

What a brilliant thread! I would advise anyone starting from scratch like me come and read this, I learned so much from all the different inputs and tests.
I now know what i don't know which is a great place to start.
Great build and I learn the best the same way, doing and learning. You could sit me down for years and teach at me but without having something to apply it with it won't stick. Give me some practical to go with the theory and I'm away.
Following with interest and can't wait to see the maiden voyage of this beast!

Yeah and a much better layout all round I mean what's cooler than a jet chopper lol.the idea is to mount everything than make the gearbox offset match the chain and a new bigger oil tank as well as the intake sucking thought the oil cooler so the oil temperature stays in check

Be careful about sucking air through the oil cooler , the warmed air is harder to compress and your engine will produce less power .
