Any updates on this? I've just spent several hours going through this thread. Looks amazing, similar to what I plan on doing (on a smaller scale than this).
Would love to see it run

Hi everyone, just a couple questions- so im wanting to build a turbocharger jet engine, and i am trying to do it on a budget and ive seen these turbochargers on amazon that are going for $150+- rangine from small to pretty descent size and this is extreamly cheap comparred toca brand name turbo, ive heard its hit or miss with these as some have had good results and some not, but these are guys that are just talking about it for car/truck application and not for jet engines. Does anyone know if this will be ok to use for turbojetengine?

Hi Adam Yep , they'll be OK as long as you don't push them too hard with regards RPM/comp pressure and turbine temperatures , comp pressure /P2/boost to less than 25 psi max and turb outlet temps of 600C - 1050 F max , just make sure the turbine exducer is 20% bigger in area than the comp inducer area , hole out needs to be bigger than hole in . Don't go for the small ones as they aren't the best for a DIY turbine build, something with a comp inducer ~2"-50 mm is a good place to start Have a read through this jetandturbineowners.proboards.com/thread/680/diy-turbines click on the icons for the various info . Cheers John
