I'm curious to see whats inside , its an ally casing so hopefully only weighs ~5 kgs , I'm thinking kart gearbox for a 100HP , hopefully here next week , I'll post pics/info

Anyone know where to get a bullet head compressor nut for a ht60 can’t seem to find anything the tec data says it’s an m8 some were right hand threaded some were left

Could a standard nut be used instead I wonder, ebay sells lefthand nuts if you want a nice stainless one.

It doesn't need to be bullet head rather than just a normal nut , there no discernable difference to compressor performance

It’s just so I can make a fitting to start it with the electric die grinder it’s starts very abruptly so a friction based coupling might be better

My reduction box just arrived the gears are pretty meaty think they will be ok just had to take a look inside

The shafts are 33mm the gears are about 30mm wide the case sould be much smaller given the actual size of the gears but but beggars can’t be choosers I’ll get the exact sizes next time it’s apart again.do you think I should swap the bearings for ball units to cope with the rpms?
