I was thinking here. One of the problems of a small engine may be the torque to start moving from a stand... Has anyone ever put a clutch with a heavy spinning disc on a jet engine? I would try this on the future. Another turbine scroll on the exhaust of my engine and then some gears to reduce it to something like 10k rpm. A well balanced steel disc to give some inertia, a clutch and more gears to reduce to driveshaft speed.

Your kart looks so well made. The idea with the flywheel and clutch was actually high torque availability. It would be cool to have a vehicle capable of some "squeaky tire noises" when speeding up.
