Number of Wedges on a diffusser

Building my first turbine.

Is there a way to tell/calculate what number of wedges a diffuser should have? .
Am using a 12 bladed compressor wheel. My design of the diffuser wedges is 24. Is that wrong.

Hi Jo

Probably too many , but depands on the diameter of the wheel , you need an odd number of wedges so as to prevent "phasing" of rotor blades and diffuser tips , with 12 blades on the comp , then either 11, 13 or 15 diffuser wedges would be appropriate at our size wheels
