Hi All I did a shakedown test on Monday, a fun day but also absolutely exhausting. Been back at work since Tuesday and not even had time or energy to look through my wife’s dslr photos or any footage! Lots of good and bad points and learning to be taken from the day, I’ll compile a video at some point (still need to do some stuff on the bodywork build which I haven’t had time to do either yet lol) Two photos below from my mates phone anyway. Cheers Scott img uploadWould the bad be the FOD damage ?

As per usual you have got the facts wrong, Martyns speed of 114mph was an official recorded speed as we have got the print out of that speed and as usual you are just trying to bend the facts to suit yourself, I think me and Martyn did rather well for saying that you had to use a turbo that was twice the size of his just to get 2mph faster. Richard S. So far as I know it's the new record? Martyn Green 114mph Tom Bagnall 118mph Scott Littledyke 121mph Andy Morris ? OK Richard Martyn 114 when, the only recorded time for Martyn was 101.6mph Tom 116.819 mph Oh and it was nice to see another of my engines setting a record, Yes Scot put a lot of work in ,and yes has made some changes, AND YES RICHARD.... JOHN HELPED ME.... but that you think...... having some numbers is all it takes to design an engine.... you....just don't get it. It has not gone unnotieced, how you wrote your post in large text Am sure Scott had help from other poeple. What he has built looks wonderful. But perhaps Richard I know something you dont, I have been waiting for Scott to explain I should just point out the 121 was for a mile and a quarter... his mile was 117 mph something. Think as Martyn and Tom did mile runs.... 117 mph is the comparisment ? Either way a new record.... and faster than any other diy engine has done before

Richard S. NO I checked... only did 101+ but please if you have timing sheet, share.... not bending any thing... but once again you make it personal... twice the size.... right...

Come to that Richard you could not even get Tom speed right.... I checked Martyns time before posting I am please for Scott, will be a shame if the engine has been broken, he made a real nice Kart, a little confused.... before at the other air feild Scott said he did 120, but only just bettered that by 1 mph, on a mile and quarter Richard if your logic follow, why did scott only to 117, with bigger lighter engine than Tom's.... I dont know as i was not there. But i do know why tom did not go faster, as i was there Well done Scott, you have worked hard, made a feel nice job of it...

Scott you brought this up on Facebook again, you claim first time you started the engine it was as it left me...... THATS LIE ONE.... Pictued below is mod you made to fuel system,
Not your forst start either, two failed before. LIE TWOYou played with the fuel system, in your video every one can hear the rpm dropping.... ERM.... perhaps a fuel isuue.... and why might that be .....
Look how it started last time i ran it, no flames out the back.... Oh .... Look a FOD screen...

I have no clue what this is all about 😂😂😂😂 I took the kart for a shakedown and had some fun.
Let’s keep these threads on topic. And at size normal font ideally 👍😅

Scott Elvington
One Mile Run Time
1st Run 2nd Run 3rd Run Scott Littledyke Jet Kart ... 109.441.... 114.068..... 117.915
You have made a wonderful job, best in class for body work...
But Scott, what is it you are not sharing with us....For someone that once told me his life goal was to have a world record.....You have world fastest DIY Gasturbine Kart.... all seems a little subdued ??

Many thanks for the compliments 😊 it’s been an insane amount of work and time to get this far hahaha!! I’m incredibly pleased, still got a bit of an itch t scratch as it’s got loads more potential! It’s also been an eye opener in the cost of running, we must be bonkers haha. Run 1 (my fastest) and 2 I started on the asphalt just ahead of a service road as I was concerned about how rough it was at the real start line. So I managed 121.2 mph in 0.75 of a mile (109 in half mile). The last run I tried the whole length. It amuses me my best time was on my “taking it easy” sighting run. Not full power, just wanted to check it didn’t spin out and was stable and systems were OK. Then on second and third runs I had an engine problem and couldn’t push it. But that’s what shakedowns are for! I’m just really glad it ran at all because my mates drove the 300mile trip to help! I’ll do some proper videos and strip it all down when I get round to it 😊 Cheers Scott image hosting

Hi Scott
100 kgs dry is a great achievement :-)
Heh heh , you might need some "shades" for the tyres , that A/B is glowing nicely, rather toasty .
Cheers John
