Hi ya´ll New guy here and new project..... Living outside gothenburg Sweden. Had this Holset-4lek turbo sitting for 10 years ( yes i planned to build it back then ) but didn´t start the project and the turbo got its own spot in the shelf for a "while" Dont think this in any way is the perfect turbo to build on but if i manage go get it going, ill might buy another better suited turbo. So far ive been cutting, drilling and welding a bit, aswell as trying out som ideas on the ignition system that ive based on a system with a 5v pulsegenerator contolling an opto-relay and finaly an regular relay instead of an distiubutor+ignitioncoil <img src=" For the fuel im thinking of using diesel just slightly! mixed with petrol. Smaller nozzle maybe 0,5-1,5 gal/m for preheating the turbine along with the starter and around 11-12 gal/m for the self-sustained combustion. Theese numbers are only my own ideas an thoughts. dont know if they are correct but well see At least is a cheaper engine than our gastubrine at my work from Liberty gasturbines Holland. Ignition parts that need more work: This is a start atleast...the ignitionsystem works well but im considering another type of system. as for now im waiting on deliveries of a starter for the turbine i found and planing to use, also some new condensers for this "first" ignition system.

I am using one of the "ZVS Flyback Drivers" you can find on ebay for like $30USD they come with the old CRT TV high voltage transformer, with 12v input voltage i get about a 1" arc and they are high amp, extremely hot arcs, it starts melting the ends of the wire when drawing an arc

Our serivce guy on our bigger gasturbine at work had some old drawings on a ignition system i might build....but i will finish this ignition system ive started just for fun to se if it works like ive planned.

Should definitely work, I think the ZVS circuit is a bit overkill, especially for propane, definitely dangerous too due too the current being so high

" Crackerbox" ready ..... Works in what pulse or hz you want for the spark. problem would probably be to ignite the atomized diesel, but i will try my best to experiment with other condensers....
