I've wanted to convert a turbo charger into a jet engine since I first discovered the idea more than 20 years ago. I have a house now with fairly well equipped shop space and found a NOS small Garrett turbo on eBay cheap and went for it.

Work has me on the road and it will be a couple weeks before I can even open the package. In the meantime I was wondering if there's any good resources for turbos as far as exploded diagrams or dimensions go so I can plan ahead and order materials. Also curious if there's any comprehensive FAQs or guidelines to determine combustion chamber/flame tube dimensions in relation to the turbo.

Welcome to the group diverpat. Have you read jetandturbineowners.proboards.com/thread/680/diy-turbines . There’s all the info needed to complete your project. Hope the build goes great. I’m fairly new as well but if you have questions just post em and the senior guys do a fantastic job helping out. Good luck!
