Hi all New to the forum , Ive been building a jet out of a large turbo for a while now,I now have it running ,Starts of on propane ,then transitions to paraffin. The problem i have, sounds a bit of a silly question,is,How do i know when to stop accelerating the engine, seems like there is no upper limit, there is zero glow from the exiting exhaust,so i'm not worried there about it melting. The noise is deafening,i'm just worried it going to over rev and destroy itself. I origionally installed 4 paraffin jets, but at the moment 1 seems more than enough. My next stage it an afterburner but, want to make sure i know its limits before i proceed. Many thanks all Matt

Hi Matt
You're right , max rpm is when one of the wheels explodes.
You'll need to either fit a tach and keep max tip speed below 1450 ft/sec , or use your P2 gauge and keep pressure output below 30 psi , preferably 25 psi if you are uncertain of the turbos past life .
Fit some gauges to the engine so that you know whats going on , simply using noise produced is very unreliable .
Cheers John
