Your combustor lid sorta indicates some abberations , where is your air delivery tube from the comp housing attached to the combustor outer can ??

Had a few successful tests today!! Really gets the adrenaline pumping… what is the max temperature you would recommend staying under for startup??

Max spoolup temps will depend on the duration of spoolup , if its only several seconds then the temp can be higher than if its a dragged out 30 seconds or longer , but there shouldn't be a need for anymore than 900 deg C -1650 F for a short spoolup or 700C 1300 F for a longer one .
If we need higher temps for longer duration then either the starter isn't powerful enough or theres a problem with the engine's configuration , like a too tight a jet nozzle .
