Can´t get the link to work. I looked in the shed and the only aluminium sheet large enough to make the segments from is 1.5mm thick, nothing I can weld without melting numerous holes in it. I´ll explore the scrap bin at work on monday for some 3mm. Tomorrow I will tidy up the compressor housing a bit and see if I can figure out how to remove the engine cover without dropping the engine onto the floor... /Anders

And about the bellmouth: I dont know exactly how you're planning to install the starter pulley and the snowmobile clutch pulley on the engine shaft but there could be some interference between the belts and the bellmouth depending on how much it extends forward.

When I copied the text and pasted it to the browser it worked, it might be my VPN blocking the link or something.
Nice bellmouths! I´ll try make my own first, but if I fail I might have to cough up a hundred pounds for one with shipping to Sweden.
When I fit the snowmobile clutch there is a toothed starter ring on it that I could use for starting, that way I can remove the belt pulley from the shaft. I always have the option of fitting a slightly longer shaft so I don´t think it will be a problem.

Good ! always nice to have an alternate but I understand how self rewarding it is to make our own stuff. Cheers!
And you might find a better bellmoiuth or a better price by googling " ventilation duct bell mouth " quite a few websites worth a look.

A sunday in the workshop is nice when it is snowing heavily outside. I started off by cleaning up some internal edges in the compressor housing. The job for today was to fit the spark plug, with the engine disassembled it was easy to measure where the secondary zone holes were and allign the plug with one of those. Lots of photos today, I hope you don´t mind. The spark plug is too short to reach past the flame tube wall so I had to make a recess cup for it. Drilling and milling. The finished cup, it makes the spark plug reach 15mm further in. Spark plug in place. And before calling it a night I welded the cup to the engine cover. It is a snug fit, the cable going to the plug restricts how far in the cup can be fitted. I think this is ok, it is hard to see on the photo but the electrode reach a couple of mm´s inside the flametube hole. Cheers! /Anders

Never mind how many photos you post Can't get enough of this nice craftsmanship! What kind of spark plug do you use ? Automotive? Never seen such an elbow connector before .

Nice And what about the elbow connector? Looks unusual Not an aviation cable I guess Asking because those aviation ignition plugs usually have a weird fine thread design . I have some plugs here but can't find a fitting connector Thanks for your time answering.

It is aviation plug, you dont need to use aviation cable just copper core cable, car ignition cable, just put an earth strap on the engine... The thread is imperial, and there is two, will dig out the tap i have for that one, and give you the size

I agree about the cable. The pug I have has an unusual 3/4 x 20 thread I was just wondering about the connector Thanks
