Depends how you want to go, shaft power or purely thrust?
Thrust is easier and more common to find, where are you located?

While I'm not out to dissuade your idea, what's your ideal use case scenario? To that, demonstration, "practical", neighborhood menace? 😁 Retired helo units are a fairly ideal candidate for thrust to weight ratios as well as packaging size restraints and occasionally come with the gearbox (turboprop units would also fall into this category in relation to converting a land-based vehicle for practicability's sake as drivability is a nightmare on purely thrust), but aren't particularly cheap. Though I suspect you'll want to consider running costs and maintenance with a jet engine as well, as they can be substantial. Providing fuel for the hungry beast is probably the cheapest end as they can run on just about any fuel that burns, however, there's A Lot to consider with your idea. What phase of planning would you consider yourself in?
