Anyone ever measured the oil flow true a turbo charger at a given pressure ?

I did a long time ago and found there was very little from a static rotor when cold even with the 100psi pressure I was feeding the TV84 turbo , but hard to measure with hot oil out of a running engine ;-)
As long as theres design pressure going in , I guess the amount coming out of the turbo is irrelevant, but with all the entrapped air its volume is greatly enhanced.

You're right about the pressure design. The thing is I ran some test this morning on my oil system, wich is part of an auxiliary / service module / tray ( I just dont know how to call it.) So it is not cooked up yet to the turbo. I have one liter / minute flow at 55 ps. I know 55 psi is good enough but wonder a bout the flow. I conducted the test using a ball valve simulating the turbo ...i

1 lpm is a pretty small amount for a turbo of your size :-(

I can increase it if needed. Just by running the pump faster and adjusting the regulator. I know I will actually get the right settings once it is hooked up to the turbo but i want to make adjustments and tests while the system is on the work bench rather than on under the turbo on the cart. Much easier access than working kneeled...getting old.I also tested the pressure switch . It s set at 30 psi. and will be cutting off fuel below that pressure.
As a side note my oil system is built using 3/8" lines and fittings but the test was done with a 1/4 " ball valve as that's what i had on hand. That is probably a factor ...
