LOL............with those turbo specs its not going to perform very well , very undersized turb stage , a 64 mm turb exducer trying to cope with a 76 mm comp inducers flow .......... :-(

Selling it is one thing. Asking 5K$ is another I think that we all invest some money ,and sometimes a lot of it, just to pursue a personal goal . From that we accept that this money can be a lost, bringing only fun and satisfaction to its owner. Personally I would not try to make money out of the stuff I worked on.

Yep , your liability risks are too high , someone without any turbine experience buys that engine and decides they want to turn a self sustaining turbocharger into a jet engine by fitting a jet nozzle to make thrust/noise and the next thing that happens is temps skyrocket and shrapnel comes out the hot end straight into the face of those watching the "fun".

Sell the engine as "non working" , just for parts, and recoup some of what you've spent , but not hype it up as a "Home Manufactured Turbine Jet Engine" , that ain't no jet engine , just a turbo with a combustor , I'd guess he's spent maybe $1k all up for everything .
