Ok. I have two questions. 1) why there is very great number of jet turbine dragsters but a have seen only two rocket dragsters (as i understand they were made by one team). Rocket is more powerful. It is ideally for drag. Rocket engine work a little time it is that thing that is needed for drag. It is possible to have much higher acceleration than man can stand. For example 10g))) 2) I want to know it for a very long time: I saw how work afterburners on plane on tv and once at live. The flame is dim. And the most part of flame is inside turbine. But in jet dragster flame is quite bright. And it producing white smoke. I have an impression that it is only show and in real aircraft afterburner is much more powerful.

Rocket power vehicles are no longer allowed to race in IHRA and NHRA . The liquid fuel was deemed unsafe with a high explosion rate if missed handled.
The afterburner white smoke is a vaporized fuel cloud for show and when lite with the hot streak explodes for the sound effect. The burner set up is built on the same design as aircraft.

But is it possible to run this rocket dragster on closed airfield? Where wont be any people. Only test pilot? What about solid propellant? Ok. It is for show. Show is when dragster only on start line. But when it run its 1/4 the afterburner flame is also not same with aircraft. Why? I think as flame not same it means that engine works not correctly and produce not so much thrust (or it break faster?).

Afterburner operation is the same, the difference is jet cars run Kerosene or diesel w/gas mixture. This causes a different flame picture. Still the same power unless the jet runs the water and alky injection, which give a large boost of steam power.
