Just started working on disassembling an air huffer in ernie's shop. Got it started today after bypassing the instrument panel and about half of the onboard hardware. It ran for long enough to fill the shop up with smoke, but now it seems it was just burning the leftover fuel in the lines. Now the project will be removing unneccesary parts and building a new panel for it.
I'll post pictures as the project progresses. As for what to use it for... I don't really know. Might put it in something small like a go-kart ormaybe something else if a good idea strikes me.

Wish I could tell you more, but at the time I reall dont know much about it myself. I took some pictures, but lost the data cable to transfer them to the computer My guess is the entire unit weighs between 300-400lbs with fuel tank, panels, huffer piping and valves, and everthing else still onboard. As for an update, got all the rotting fuel lines replaces with new braided cable lines. Looks like they had a lot of redundant parts that will probably end up being removed.

Hi Richard, When are you going to try to start it again? I'm not too busy next week. Maybe we could set up boundary layer control on my car.

I'll probably be cranking it early next week. I'm building a simple panel to control it (3 switch - spark, starter, fuel.. no throttle). I just need to wire it in then attach a fuel tank and its ready to go. Just let me know when you'll be at the shop chris

Ok, an update.. although probably a bit late. A little over a week ago I managed to blow up the starter, but not in a way that is cool, spectacular, or entertaining in any way. Instead it seems to have taken the "I'm tierd of being useful so I just wont from now on" methodology. To make a long stary short, I let off the starter early, then tried to pick it back up and the little mini-clutch had different plans so the project is on hold until I get a new one or find a brave soul with very fast fingers.
