Hi Patty
LOL, if it looks right , I make it :-)
Distance between bearings is sort off controlled by the flametube length , but I try and position the bearings as close to the wheels as is possible to limit overhang.
Cheers John

What about a land speed car or streamliner bike that would be fun a friend went 288mph on a turbo heybussa at Bonneville a few years back with 540rwhp you could probley go faster with that kind of power well it takes a special kind of person to even try it haha

Once we get past a certain size its probably better to simply purchase a time expire aero engine , this engine was definitely too big for any practical purpose, it was simply a case of having the comp/turb wheels and wanting to do something with them as I'd pretty much exhausted making variants of the Garrett TV94 engine and wanted something bigger , so when the X831 comp wheel came along I made the 12/118 "Fat Boy" for something to do , and shelved this one .
The power output would have been roughly twice what Anders new JU-02 engine would produce , but for practical installation it'd be better to make 2 small engines as they'd weigh less than one big one
A pair of JU-02s feeding a 3rd stage Garrett TPE 331 turb wheel for a freepower would make a very interesting 500+ HP powerplant
Cheers John
