I'm still waiting for those ignitors to arrive , hope the delivery guy doesn't arrive at 7am like he did the other day and find me still under the covers, I hate having to dive out of bed to answer the door .

Hi Racket
How are you? Inappropriate question on a worldwide forum, I know but…...
I am sure the rest of “the crowd” (even the lurkers/loiterers) would desperately like to know the outcome of any tangible test you were able to perform with regards to the Turnigy micro tacho’ … ...
Any news or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
As always, I wish to express my kind regards to all you folks out there, champions of the vortex flame…

Hi Eben
Alls well here, thank you :-)
The tach worked OK at checking rpm of my grinder , a couple of masking tape strips on the wheel to simulate a couple of "props" produced the numbers , a single piece of tape produced a 50% reading ..................I need a high speed motor to get more data that'll be relevant to turbine use , but for <$10 the unit is work getting just to play with.
Cheers John

maybe we should use a shutter wheel, shine light through a gear w a lot of teeth then we don't need rpm to test
