Joined this group a while back after i bought a GTP-70 turbine this is a link to my second successful firing. youtu.be/4zGXMyy-PrkThe turbine was seized, after this run. after I tore it apart, I discovered the turbine bearings were rusted which caused one of them to seize tight. the panel in the video is one i just built. Bought this from DRswami, tturbines on ebay, he said he will send a replacement I pay shipping.

Hi Dave, Did you get in contact with Bryan . That's great news that tturbines will send out a replacement . I have started working on my engine and took out the oil filter all good so will check the release valve this could be the problem . Cheers, Mark.

Yes I did talk to Bryan, going to stop by there early next year, and see him. look at the other thread here about gtp70's. i think you need about 20psi for the ignitor to fire. The oil filter is readily available and cheep about $8.00 I bought turbine oil at the local airport $19 a quart. Where are you located?

I'm located in Melbourne Australia. I studied up on the manual in the trouble shooting Information, Low oil pressure Probale Cause (Filter relife valve stuck open) Also found out the unit needs at lest 80 PSI for the oil presure switch to open to start the ignitors to fire. Cheers, Mark.

Bryan Goulette? If so he's one of the nicest chaps I've dealt with in the turbine business. Helped me no end on my Williams WR27-1. Definitely should be on here

Hi Jon, Ok thanks for that . I took out the oil filter unit and clean it up and check Filter relife valve. Mmmmm hard to tell if the valve was stuck . will see when i crank the engine over.
