Hello my dears.
Actually I'm studing to design and project an axial flow jet engine initially for a rounds generator unit, then as a thrust unit.
The part which I'm studig actually is the injector, where I have problems to understand how it works in a smaller size.
My main question is how does it works when the fuel is erogated, I mean how the fuel is injected in the air and how does the fuel mixture is made starting from a fluid, to an air mixture, as a "gas" part.
Greetings, hoping to receive replies!

Hi
Are you going to use high pressure spray injection or low pressure injection into evaporators ??
How big is the engine you want to build ??
Cheers John

Thank you for the reply racket.
Hgih pressure spray vaporizers should be useful in my case, but which is better between low and hogh one?
The engine plans expect a lenght of 400-450 mm
Diameter should be about 140-160 mm

Hi Sano
For an engine of that size its probably easier to use an evaporative system as multiple small spray nozzles will be expensive and fiddly to use .
Are you going to use a turbocharger compressor wheel ??
What mass flow , thrust , horsepower level are you designing for ??
Cheers John
